Suitable Fabric

• The Cassidy Barrel Leg Pants are designed for light-to medium-weight woven fabrics For a more fluid look, Viscose/Rayon, Tencel/lyocell, soft Linen blends, Crepe, and lightweight Chambray.

• For a more structured look, Denim, Poplin, or crisp Linen can also be used.

• Fabrics with good drape will create a fluid, relaxed fit, while slightly firmer fabrics will produce a more defined shape.

• All measurements are based on a fabric width of 150cm (60”) and 115cm (45”).

Follow all instructions and make sure you read and understand the pattern before beginning.

• Design Ease: The Cassidy Barrel Pant leg includes generous ease through the hips and legs to create that signature "wide-leg" volume. This ensures the fabric drapes away from the body rather than clinging.

• We recommend holding the pattern pieces up to your body before cutting to check the length.

•  If you are quite tall, consider using the shorten and lengthen   lines to add extra length.

• The Barrel position seam should be around knee level.

• Because of the relaxed nature of this design, choosing the correct size is straightforward:

• Prioritise Your Hip Measurement: This is the most important measurement for this pattern. Choose the size that most closely matches your body’s hip measurement.

• If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more fluid, draped look, or sizing down for a slightly more fitted appearance through the seat.

• The Waist is Flexible: The waistband is finished with elastic, meaning it will adjust to your unique waist shape. You do not need to worry if your waist measurement falls into a different size bracket than your hips; simply adjust the elastic length during the fitting stage for your perfect comfort level.

• You are buying a digital pattern. This will be sent directly to you by email after payment.

• You can print this pattern at home or you can take it to a print shop and have it printed in a larger scale format.

• Included is also a Projector friendly version 

• You will not receive a hard copy (printed version) of this pattern when you purchase. 

• The file will be sent to you as a zip file. It is a large file so you will need to right click on the file and click "extract all" to your desired folder.

• All patterns are organized in folders by:  Style, length then print type.

• When printing at home make sure your are printing in "actual size" Adobe Acrobat Reader is the best option to read and print your patterns. All patterns have a 5x5cm or 2"x2" control box on them. Measure these before you start to ensure it has printed at the correct size. 

• All pattern formats are Layered.  Using Adobe Acrobat Reader you have the ability to turn off sizes you don't need to eliminate pattern noise.

How do I choose my size?

• Please don’t go by your "off-the-rack" clothing size! Every brand is different. Grab a measuring tape, measure your bust, waist, and hips, and compare them to the Size Chart included in your pattern booklet. When in doubt, it’s usually easier to take a garment in than to let it out.

Can I get a refund if it doesn't fit?

• Because PDF patterns are digital files that you access immediately, I cannot offer refunds once the file has been downloaded. Please double-check your measurements against the size chart before you hit "purchase."

I’m stuck on a step! What do I do?

• I’ve worked hard to make these instructions "hair-pulling free," but I know that sometimes we all get stuck. First, take a breath and re-read the step. If you’re still confused, feel free to send me an email with a photo of where you're stuck. I’m a one-woman show, so I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

Can I sell items I make from your patterns?

• My patterns are licensed for your personal, home use only. If you are a small maker who wants to sell garments made using my patterns, please contact me to discuss a commercial license. Mass production is not permitted.

• Save immediately: Once you download your file, save it to a secure spot on your computer or a cloud drive (like Google Drive or Dropbox). Links can expire, so treat the file like a precious heirloom!
