What fabrics work best with Bare Thread Patterns?

Our designs are drafted primarily for woven, natural fibers such as linen, cotton, hemp, ramie, wool, and silk. Each pattern product page and instruction booklet includes a detailed fabric recommendation section, along with suggested fabric weights and drape notes to help you choose the perfect textile.

Do you provide fabric yield and cutting layouts for different fabric widths?

Yes! Every pattern booklet includes comprehensive fabric yardage requirements and optimized cutting layouts for both standard 115 cm (45 in) and 150 cm (58 in) fabric widths across the full size range.

Question 9

Do I need an overlocker (serger) or industrial machine to sew your patterns?

Accepted Answer

Not at all! All our patterns can be sewn using a standard domestic sewing machine with a basic straight stitch and zig-zag function. While an overlocker is great for finishing raw edges, our instruction booklets always include alternative seam-finishing techniques (such as French seams, bias binding, or zig-zag finishes) so you can achieve a professional interior on any machine.
